Fashion's current lace trend isn't stuffy or prim-and-proper. On her Fall 2025 runway for Chloé, Chemena Kamali showcased openwork dresses, sheer blouses adorned with floral appliqués, and gauzy skirts that have inspired many to embrace a boho-chic style revival. Other labels like Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, and Dior took a similar sartorial approach in their autumn collectsions with romantic pieces that gave a nod to neo-Victorianism.

Inspired to infuse a sense of softness into my own fall and winter wardrobe, I’ve decided to lean into the lace trend. Aside from referencing the runways for easy-to-copy outfit formulas, I’ve been carefully trackings the street-style scene, which lately has been a gold mine: I've found examples of how to wear lace-trimmed skirts with leather jackets and knee-high boots for an autumn feel, and of how to give lace dress a Y2K feel by adding trousers. (That's right, the dress-over-pants uniform has officially found its way back into the fashion zeitgeist.)

Ahead, I’ve curated a handpicked edit of lace pieces that I’ve fallen for—and I’m sure you will, too. Discover styles from beloved brands like J.Crew, Reformation, Zara, and more.
