Kellyanne Conway took an "alternative fact" too far when she mentioned the "Bowling Green Massacre," a supposed terrorist attack that "didn't get covered" by the media. But now we know why it was never in the news: it legitimately *never* happened.

Conway attempted to clarify her mistake on Twitter, saying that she was referring to "Bowling Green terrorists," the two Iraqi refugees living in Bowling Green, Kentucky who were indicted on federal terrorism charges back in 2011, according to the New York TimesBut even with Conway's admission that it was an "honest mistake," the nonexistent "Bowling Green Massacre" has left an impression on the public.
